If you are on the board of a charter school, then you know that the State of Minnesota requires that every charter school board member complete department-approved training in a number of areas ranging from board governance to employment policies. -- The Charter School Board Training program brings together all necessary components to fulfill the requirements mandated by the Minnesota Department of Education. Convene with charter school board members and become: • More confident in your leadership skills • Better equipped to build a healthy charter school board and face challenges as they arise • Focused with an action plan and framework for growing and sustaining your board • Renewed, excited, and ready to lead your charter school into the future -- This program will not only help you meet the requirements put forth by the state, you will also have the opportunity to learn in an atmosphere that supports participants’ subject-matter mastery and leads to business excellence. -- Upcoming offerings: -- April 21, 2011 Saturday, Full Day -- Cost: $155. Includes tuition, learning materials, lunch & refreshments. -- There are no prerequisites to enroll in this non-degree program.
